this is the view towards the spare room which is empty save for my guitar, amp, and some christmas lights! an empty room, can you imagine that?! this place is so big by my standards.

to the left of the spare room is my bedroom.

blue and gold

i know i keep talking about autumn and leaves, but today the blue blue sky looked so great against this gold tree.



hardly any clouds this week, i am trying to take advantage of the outdoors and good bike riding weather.

The hawthorne bridge

i couldn't resist biking over the hawthorne bridge on this clear, sunny day.


i thought getting up the bridge would be difficult, but really the most difficult part of today was biking up hawthorne on the east side. i gave up at a certain point and walked. then i got some ciabatta bread from grand central bakery, and some produce from the farmer's market.

i did wear my bike helmet today!

bicycle rides

i like main street most of all in my immediate vicinity. at least in the blocks i know, it is the most quaint, the most leafy, the most hushed. there are gold and yellow leaves everywhere, but nothing beats the matted asphalt of main.

today, i went on a quick jaunt through Laurelhurst Park, which really isn't very large, but is nicely enclosed and nearly hidden within a neighborhood of large houses. within it is a duck pond. here today, i rode past couples with small children, while joggers & other cyclists passed me by.

today was a beautiful, sunny fall day.

life on yamhill

my little entrance is further evidence that i lead a secret hobbit existence. just like my last apartment entrance, the doorway is perfect for my height, yet quite a ways too low for my tall boyfriend.



luckily, the ceiling inside is ample for those over 5'9". i recently acquired a red couch, a coffee table, travel scrabble, and a vintage box of dominoes.
